Saudi Post | SPL, in collaboration with the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), has issued a series of commemorative stamps valued at 3 SAR and a postcard valued at 5 SAR, coinciding with the Kingdom’s celebrations of the 95th Saudi National Day under the slogan “Our Pride is in Our Nature”. The initiative honors the unification of the Kingdom and its founding by His Majesty King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud – may Allah have mercy on him – transforming this history into a story of love, belonging, and loyalty to the nation of pride and grandeur, while celebrating this cherished occasion.
The first commemorative stamp issued under the name of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia dates back to 1352 AH, marking the appointment of Prince (King) Saud bin Abdulaziz Al Saud – may Allah have mercy on him – as Crown Prince. Saudi postage stamps are distinguished by a “security feature” that prevents counterfeiting, makes them easily identifiable from forged stamps, thereby safeguarding the institution’s rights and its intellectual property.
It is worth noting that the postage stamps issued by Saudi Post | SPL reflect the most prominent national events, including religious, cultural, artistic, and sporting occasions, as well as key international events. Each stamp captures a significant moment or commemorates an iconic scene in Saudi history, making them an ideal choice for stamp collectors around the world, as well as for historians interested in documenting history.
